Loading electric machines on construction sites

Temporary worksites with zero carbon emissions, yes, but how do you load your electrical machines when the site is not connected to the grid?
This was the challenge faced by our customer, BIR, who was in charge of a worksite in a residential area to replace the drinking water network.

Our customer rented an Mecalac E12 electric excavator for the job and called on us to recharge the machine. We quickly hired and delivered a BESS 45-60, which enabled him to :
- Work with his electric excavator from 8am to 4pm, while the BESS was being recharged at the depot.
- Transport the BESS to the site at 4pm and load the excavator overnight.
- The next day, work resumes as normal and the BESS returns to the depot.

In concrete terms, this solution has given the neighbourhood a quieter site and, above all, zero emissions! Bring energy directly to the worksite without requiring a connection thanks to our BESS⚡

What do you think has the biggest carbon impact? Transporting a BESS twice a day or using a diesel-powered machine all day?
